Using our booked matched Spalted Maple panels these wonderfully individual boxes create unique topics of conversation, in the process of book matching (i.e. cutting a slice of wood and then joining them in the fashion of pages of a book) we create natures own "ink blot" or"Rosharch" test image.

The panel shown here is often referred to as the "Rumpold" panel as it may appear to portray the image of the Barrister of that name portrayed by Leo Mckern in the television series of that name, and when one considers that a barrister is a member of the legal profession some say it is uncanny that when you rotate the panel through 180 degrees one may perceive the face of a wolf.
